Ripley Court School officially mergers with Reed's School

Back

Further to our announcement on 1st July 2019, we are delighted to confirm that the assets and undertakings of Ripley Court Educational Trust Ltd were officially transferred to Reed’s School (also known as the London Orphan Asylum) on 31st October 2019 and consequently the merger of Ripley Court School with Reed’s School is now complete.

Both Schools share a philosophy of education which focuses on developing the whole individual and the merger provides an opportunity to share knowledge, resources, and best practices. Reed’s School was originally established in 1813 as a school for orphaned children and through the Reed’s Foundation we still provide education and pastoral care for children who have lost the support of one or both parents. This merger allows us to extend the reach of the Foundation.

This merger marks a new chapter in the School’s history, and we would like to thank the Reed’s School and Ripley Court School staff for all their hard work which allowed us to achieve this in a very short space of time.
