Welcome

from the Headmaster

HMAt Reed's we are ambitious for each and every individual we educate. We believe passionately in nurturing and encouraging each child within a supportive environment so that our pupils develop into confident, articulate and happy young men and women who go out into the world with a determination to improve it.

We believe that an all-boys education from eleven to sixteen allows our pupils to develop and mature in an environment where they are encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life and where the academic lessons are tailored to inspire and motivate them to excel. The co-educational Sixth Form then establishes a community which prepares all our pupils for the transition to university and for the challenges beyond.

Inspired by the vision of our founder, Andrew Reed, to support children who have lost one or both parents, our ethos, of celebrating our pupils' successes and inspiring them to unlock their true potential, is founded on outstanding pastoral care, excellent teaching and a philosophy of breadth of experience.

The purposeful and nurturing ethos of the School, where there is a love of learning and where we seek to develop the self-esteem and character of each individual, is at the heart of our pupils' successes and I do hope you will visit Reed's and see for yourself.

You will be warmly welcomed by me, the staff and - most importantly - our pupils."

Mark Hoskins BA MA MSc, Headmaster
