Reed’s School has become one of the leading Independent Day and Boarding Schools for boys in the country providing an education for about 650 pupils aged between 11 and 18 with girls admitted to the Sixth Form.

Receptionist/Office Assistant – Full Time (Fixed Term Contract)

The role-holder will be responsible for providing a first class Reception service to all visitors and callers to the School. This role will also provide administrative support to members of the Senior Management Team and a reprographics service to all teaching staff. The role will have responsibility for coordinating key processes for the School, involvement in project work and ticketing for main school events such as Speech Day.

The successful applicant will work on the Reception Desk in the morning and in the front office in the afternoons. The role-holder will report into the Office Manager.  

The hours of work are 8am until 4.30pm, with a one hour lunch break (unpaid) between 1pm and 2pm. The role will be offered on a fixed term basis from January 2015 to mid August 2015. This will be reviewed at the end of the fixed term and there may be an opportunity for this role to become permanent.

The School Office is open between the hours of 8am and 5.30pm.

HR and Compliance Assistant – One Year Fixed Term Contract

We are currently looking to recruit an HR and Compliance Assistant to help co-ordinate all aspects of operational HR and Compliance. The role-holder will work closely with the HR and Compliance Manager to research, review and implement new policies and processes across both areas including elements of project work.   The successful applicant will also provide administrative support to the HR and Compliance Manager.

You will possess strong communication skills and have an interest in a future career in Human Resources.

This is a full time, year round post, available from January 2015 to December 2015. This role would suit a graduate as a first position.  The role will report into the HR and Compliance Manager.

Senior IT Technician 

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior IT Technician to provide first class support to staff and pupils. This role will work closely with the Head of Technical IT and also supervise the IT Assistant when required. The successful applicant will have a number of years experience working within the IT Support field.

The role holder will be expected to be conversant with Windows Server OS, Desktop OS, Office suites, WLAN/VLAN technologies, Layer 3 Switch management, Active Directory, Exchange and WSUS as a minimum.

IT Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit an IT Assistant to join a busy IT support department. This role will be supervised by the Senior Technician and report into the Head of Technical IT. The role holder will cover first line support, maintenance of printer hardware, purchasing of toners, responsibility of IT labs, assisting with audio visual hardware and asset tracking.

The successful applicant should have at least 1 – 2 years experience working within an IT Support department and possess strong communication skills. It would be advantageous to have experience of Windows 7, Office 2010, knowledge of Microsoft Networking Protocols and printer maintenance.
