Speech Day 2018

Saturday 7th July - with guest of honour Mr Jeremy Ovenden

Our Guest of Honour, Tenor Mr Jeremy Ovenden (OR Bristowe 1989), is acknowledged as one of the world’s finest interpreters of Mozart and has performed at the world’s major opera houses including La Scala, Covent Garden, and Glyndebourne. His roles have varied from Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) to Ferrando (Così fan Tutte) to Tito (La Clemenza di Tito), and he has collaborated with some of the world’s leading conductors including Sir Simon Rattle.

Attendance is compulsory for all prize winners and pupils in the First, Third, Fifth and Sixth Forms. All parents of these pupils are warmly invited. Pupils and their parents from the Second and Fourth Forms are also warmly invited; however, attendance is not compulsory.

Speech Day will take place in a marquee on 12 Acre Sports Field. Pupils and parents are invited to arrive from 10.15am to enjoy refreshments and a photographic display of the academic year. Pupils should be dressed smartly in School Uniform and Sixth Formers should wear suits. They should accompany their parents and sit with them, unless they happen to have won a prize in which case they will sit with other prize winners. You should be seated by 10.45am. Drinks and canapés will be served afterwards at approximately 1.00pm and celebrations will end at 2.30pm.
