Andrew Davey

Head of Sixth Form

After reading History at Durham University, Andrew worked for various regional newspapers in south-west England, reporting in Iraq and Afghanistan. In a change of direction, Andrew then completed a GDL and LLP before working as a solicitor in a top 100 law firm in London.

Andrew started at Reed's in 2013 as a History teacher as well as a resident tutor in the Middle School. He was then appointed to the position of Sixth Form Year Head, and completed a Master's Degree from the University of Nottingham in Educational Leadership and Management, writing his dissertation on the extent to which Reed's promotes social justice through the Foundation. Andrew was promoted to Head of Sixth Form in 2022.

Andrew enjoys golf, is an avid Bath Rugby fan and a devotee to Ernest Hemingway.
