Final Toastmasters Club produces skillful and inspiring speeches

Back

Members of the Upper Sixth Toastmasters Club met for a final dinner attended by students, parents and teachers. Chaired by Hannah Birchall and Charlotte Savill, the evening consisted of a series of speeches on topics varying from ‘What it’s like not to hear anything’ to ‘The importance of appreciation’. As always, the Toastmasters spoke with skill, passion and inspiration, culminating in the presentation of their certificates. Best Speaker went to Piers Montgomery, and Most Improved Speaker to Elizabeth Callaghan.

Thanks go to all of the speakers and evaluators for their efforts, and for the courage of those who made personal and moving speeches showed. The bar, yet again, has been set high for next year’s cohort. We wish the outgoing Toastmasters 2017-18 all the best for their future and hope they continue to improve in their public speaking.
