Trips

Reed’s organises an extensive range of trips - both locally and worldwide - for academic, cultural and sporting experience.

Academic departments provide stimulus to pupils with educational visits throughout the year – from Modern Language trips to immerse themselves in the mother tongues; Geography trips to discover first-hand erupting volcanos and rock formations; inspiring History trips to battlefields to see where it actually happened; Classics trips to ancient Roman sites and a Robotics team who competes successfully in The Hague and Oslo.

Cultural experiences range from regular outings to West End productions, art galleries and museums through to exciting trips to cultural centres such as New York.

Yearly Sports tours depart to countries like Canada, Holland and South Africa and a carefully designed Major Games schedule allows senior pupils to visit the Caribbean or the southern hemisphere at least once in their final years. Our sailors travel as far afield as the USA and the Mediterranean.

The CCF has developed lasting links with the Falkland Islands, Canada, Cyprus and South Africa with many travel opportunities on offer for cadets.

Sixth Formers visit the townships of Port Elizabeth in South Africa each year as part of an established link with The Calabash Trust. Students visit Primary Schools in the townships to build playgrounds, kit out libraries and teach young children. They return having had a life-changing and character-building experience they all agree they would never have missed.
