Ripley Court School

Ripley Court School merged into the Reed’s School charitable foundation on 31st October 2019.

Reed’s and Ripley Court have enjoyed a close relationship for many years and share a philosophy of education which focusses on developing the whole child within a nurturing environment and the merger was a natural extension of this strong relationship. It allows both Schools to benefit from a combination of outstanding staff and facilities.

Each School retains their own identity, location, heritage and structure. Reed’s continues to be all-boys from ages 11-16 with a co-educational Sixth Form and Ripley Court remains co-educational from ages 3-11.

Ripley Court fully supports all their pupils, boys and girls, with their secondary school choices and aims to ensure that these choices can be met by preparing them for their entrance exams and the transition from Prep to Senior School. There is no automatic entry from Ripley Court to Reed’s and no expectation that a Ripley Court pupil will have to join Reed’s; however, pupils wishing to move to Reed’s benefit from the shared educational philosophy that underpins both schools.

Mark Hoskins, Headmaster of Reed’s, is Executive Head overseeing the strategic direction of both schools with the Board of Governors.

The Headmistress of Ripley Court reports to the Executive Head and, with the Ripley Court Senior Leadership Team, is responsible for day-to-day operations as well as helping shape the longer-term strategic plans of the School.
