At Reed’s we see sport as a vehicle to help reinforce the School’s core values of Integrity, Compassion, Curiosity, Resilience, Responsibility and Independence. An exciting and challenging sports programme in which all pupils participate helps to instil these values, producing well-rounded individuals who are confident, personable, generous of spirit and deed, and who will possess a lifelong love of sport.
Our Major Sports of Cricket, Hockey and Rugby are regularly successful in national and county competitions and an ever-increasing number of teams represent the School at all levels. Pupils are also able to participate in a wide range of Additional Sports which offer not only high levels of involvement but also significant success. Our Academies in Tennis, Ski Racing, Golf and Swimming compete and win at both national and international levels.

The coaching of sport at Reed’s is one of our most outstanding attributes. Highly talented and committed former international sportsmen coach our Major Sports and Academies, and the support that pupils receive from a committed and passionate staff provides a model that is the envy of many other schools.
Elite athletes in our High Performance Programme achieve county and international honours whilst at school or beyond at prestigious universities (both home and abroad) and even as professionals.
Facilities for sport at Reed’s are excellent – an Indoor Cricket Centre that has five cricket nets outfitted with the PitchVision cricket analysis system, two floodlit astroturf pitches, expansive rugby and cricket pitches, outdoor and indoor tennis courts, netball courts, coupled with a Sports Centre that comprises a sports hall, squash courts, a multi-fitness gym and a 25-metre swimming pool - all providing an impressive infrastructure for sport.
Sports Scholarships are available at entry to those who show potential, or who currently play at county or national level. We are looking for elite athletes who can contribute to our sports programme at a high level.
