Outstanding athletes in our Tennis, Golf, Ski Racing and Swimming Academies are offered a unique programme of training, linked carefully with their academic commitments. Our Academies, compete and win at both national and international levels.
The Academies allow our pupils to balance their academic work with sporting commitments to compete at the very top of their sport. To help with this, we have an enormously experienced and talented department, who along with committed teaching staff, provide outstanding coaching and mentoring.
Tennis coaching is carried out in our own fantastic outdoor and indoor facilities whilst the Golf Academy is in a successful partnership with the prestigious Burhill Golf Club only 10 minutes away. Our ski racers train mostly at Sandown and Aldershot – when they aren’t on the slopes of course. Our most recently launched Academy in Swimming has seen Reed’s fast becoming recognised one of the top swimming schools in the country with teams from U12 to U18 level.
A tailor-made academic programme, where applicable, fully supports pupils in our Academies whilst they are training, or away from school at competitions, allowing them to obtain a first-class education alongside achieving their sporting ambitions. This balance has proved to be a unique attribute to providing a pupil with a well-rounded education and opportunities for social interaction beyond the constraints of their sporting commitments.
The programmes are designed to produce aspiring professional sportsmen and women and alumni such as tennis players Jack Draper, Tim Henman OBE and Jamie Delgado; multiple GB champion and World Cup Downhill ski racer Roy-Alexander Steudle who are all testament to the schemes’ successes.
