The Fifth Form take on the Wild and Windy Jurassic Coast

Back

Fifth Form Geographers embarked on a two-day field trip to the incredible Jurassic Coast exploring coastal landscapes and management strategies visiting Keyhaven, Barton-on-Sea, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Despite the gale force winds, all pupils and staff survived the conditions and learned invaluable concepts and processes through the soles of their feet. On the second day we visited Swanage Bay to collect data for the boys’ all-important Paper 3 exam in the summer. The rain was coming down hard and strong, but the boys demonstrated true resilience to complete the task in hand. Fortunately they were rewarded afterwards with fish and chips and some well-deserved shelter in Studland Bay.
