Clubs & Societies

Clubs and societies are vital to the Activities curriculum at Reed’s and are varied and inspiring, meaning that all interests can be catered for – many of these have even been instigated at the specific request of a pupil.

Sixth Formers can hone their public speaking by attending our excellent Toastmasters Club which provides them with the skills to speak confidently in public on a variety of subjects, all guided by valuable training from members of the Epsom Speakers Club.

There is also a Model United Nations (MUN) where pupils act as delegates from different countries and debate on global issues, visiting a variety of local schools to debate with other pupils.

In Humanities and Languages, departments build upon the core curriculum by providing creative writing, playwriting, literary, debating, Politics and Geography societies which work alongside modern and ancient language clubs.

If STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects are what intrigues a pupil, there is an extensive list of possibilities - Robotics Club, Science Crest Awards, Electronics Club, Radio Controlled Cars Club and the McLaren Challenge to name just a few.

In the Arts there are many clubs on offer, for example, Graphic Design, Photography and Ceramics open studios; Stage Technology Club, Film Making Club or LAMDA; ensembles for almost every musical instrument, various orchestras, Jazz Improvisation Club, Chapel and Consort Choirs.

Specialised interests are catered for with clubs offering Archery, Football, Kung Fu and even Cooking to prepare for independent life at college. Many additional sports are available as after school clubs.
