GCSE Results 2020

Back

As GCSE results are announced today we would like to congratulate our pupils who have not only achieved outstanding results, but have remained positive and resilient throughout the uncertainties of the last few months and weeks.

Their hard work and commitment has been justly awarded, culminating in a very positive and well-deserved set of grades. This excellent outcome reflects a professional, fair and objective judgement in each subject, and took into account a full range of evidence based on assessment data achieved over the course of the GCSE syllabus.

Headmaster, Mark Hoskins, commented:

“Our pupils have worked extremely hard over the previous two academic years and these results reflect their consistently high academic performance. Naturally, our aim was for each pupil to receive the grade that reflects their potential. The resilience and compassion they have shown during the previous few months will hold them in good stead for life in the Sixth Form at Reed’s when they return to start their A Level studies soon.

I’m hugely grateful to our dedicated teaching staff who have rigorously analysed individual data with great integrity, meaning that I have every confidence that these excellent results are richly deserved. I’d also like to thank the parents for their unreserved support over the last few months. The strength and depth of the close community at Reed’s is what holds us all together in times of uncertainty.”
