Computer Science and Physics A-Level Outreach Day
Reed’s will be running a one-day introductory course to Yr 10 and 11 students from neighbouring schools who may be considering studying either Computer Sciences or Physics at A-Level. If you enjoy the subject at GCSE, but think that it would be too difficult at A-Level, then come along, try some experiments and tasks and see if it could be the A-Level subject for you.
The day will give an introduction to the types of practical work, activities and topics you can expect to do if you choose to study either of these subjects at A-Level. We will also have presentations from external speakers who are able to explain some of the career options that will be made available to you by choosing these subjects.
There is no requirement for you to be planning to apply for Reed’s Sixth Form, but you will need to be studying at least one of these subjects at GCSE to be able to take advantage of the day.
Parents and teachers are also very welcome to attend, but are asked to contact firstname.lastname@example.org directly to check availability.
The Exa Foundation are kindly sponsoring the Computer Science element of the day.
