Jono Anderson

Head of Pupil Tracking

Jono read English, Geography and History at the University of Otago, New Zealand, ultimately graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2012. From there he taught English in a 1500-strong boys’ school in Auckland, New Zealand, where he also lived and worked as a Boarding Tutor. As his desire to become a teacher had been sparked whilst working in an independent school in Sussex on his gap year, Jono always wanted to teach in the UK so he moved away from New Zealand in 2016 to work here at Reed’s. Jono became the Assistant Sixth Form Housemaster and Resident Boarding tutor in 2017 before joining the Senior Leadership Team as Head of Pupil Tracking with responsibility for using pupil’s pastoral and assessment data to make improved pupil outcomes. Jono also runs the Sixth Form Boarding House.

Jono is an avid sportsman who coaches both Hockey and Cricket at Reed’s and is a lifelong All Blacks and Black Caps fan. His ambition of playing for either of those sides never came close to being fulfilled.
