Preparation for Oxbridge and Medic/Vet Candidates

Back

Our Oxbridge and Medic/Vet candidates received their first taste of interviews in preparation for their applications during an evening event held as part of our FutureCareers programme. From medics/vets being tested putting stitches into a chicken leg, to discussions of articles, complex scientific problems and questions of motivation for the course, this was an evening that really gave our students a lot of food for thought. Interviews were delivered by Old Reedonians and teachers, and it was wonderful to see such focus from students in learning from the experiences of others and in demonstrating their knowledge and critical thinking to tackle tricky problems. The evening ended with a buffet supper and further chances for students to ask questions of those who had gone through the process of applying from Reed’s to Oxbridge/Medical School. We are most grateful to the staff and Old Reedonians who voluntarily made this event such a success.
