Its been great seeing new faces in our Sailing Club this term. Overall the weather has been very kind with much sunshine, although this week the pupils faced some unpredictable weather conditions including thunderstorms, but as always they rose to the challenge! #sailing #Resilience

The Model United Nations (MUN) hosted an internal conference this week - which 6 of our pupiols took part in - debating the topic "The Question of Enhancing Global Security to Prevent Cyberwarfare".
Delegates worked tirelessly to negotiate Russia’s resolution while honing their public speaking skills. The debate was chaired by Sam C (L6), who ensured that discussions remained productive and respectful. They engaged in meaningful dialogue and developed critical problem-solving abilities.
Kiyan L (L6) made excellent points while questioning the position of Liam A (L6). The resolution passed with one amendment, which was excellently proposed by Gabby P (L6). Jacob M (3rd Form) won the award for Best Delegate - a great achievement for his first conference!

Students in the Law Society, run by Mrs Townsend, enjoyed an insightful and educational trip to Kingston Crown Court. They learnt how a typical trial is run, where each person sits in a court room and the different roles of everyone involved.
Some students got to see a defendant being sworn in before giving evidence, whilst others watched a police officer and prosecutor read out a police interview that outlined the nature of the crime. They also watched video evidence being presented in court, providing a realistic view of how trials are conducted.
The experience gave a valuable glimpse into the workings of the legal system and what a career in law might entail
