Around 50 pupils visited Walsingham in Norfolk, the UK's oldest pilgrimage site, for a two-day trip with the RS department.
The group explored the historic abbey ruins, dating back to 1061 when Lady Richeldis built the original shrine following a vision of the Virgin Mary, and learned how Walsingham grew into what was once known as 'England's Nazareth.'
They also visited the modern shrine church, built in 1932, which houses a replica of the original holy house and its iconic statue of Our Lady of Walsingham.
The boys took part in the traditional sprinkling of the holy well and went bowling in the evening. On the following day they walked the 12 Stations of the Cross and attended an arts and crafts session.
A highlight for many was a candid Q&A with Father Ben, the priest administrator, covering everything from the role of women in the Church to deeper theological questions.

The Chapel Choir's final service of the year fell, as it so often does, just as the Upper Sixth prepare for study leave. By long custom, it marks the last appearance of our leaving choristers: a moment poised between valediction and gratitude in which we acknowledge their years of dedication to the musical and spiritual life of the school.
This year's service, offered in thanksgiving for our founder Andrew Reed, featured a programme, chosen by the pupils themselves, that produced a nostalgic selection of their favourite works from their years in the choir.
The programme included Locus Iste by Bruckner, Ave Verum Corpus by Mozart, and The Lord is My Shepherd by Howard Goodall — each performed with real care and distinction.
A particularly poignant evening, as several of this year's leavers have sung with the choir for up to seven years, leaving a lasting mark on the musical life of the school.

Not forgetting Josh T and Finlay F who also helped the team get through the matchplay regional rounds in qualification.

These six amazing teachers are really going all out by running an ULTRA MARATHON (that's 106km by the way!!) in the Isle of Wight to try to raise £5,000 for @refugecharity this weekend.
Please give them all the support you can - this is an incredible charity that offers life-saving support to women and children fleeing domestic abuse. It's been Bristowe's House charity for a number of years.
Link in bio to donate!

This week in Geography, Third Form pupils have been creating earthquake proof structures with spaghetti and marshmallows. This is linked to their GCSE Hazards topic. They looked at how earthquake buildings are designed in places like Japan and New Zealand, then created their own version.
Pupils had a lot of fun trying to make unique designs that were also marked on height, structure and whether they were earthquake proof!

Proving that learning isn’t always done in the classroom, students who belong to the Law Society spent a morning at Kingston Crown Court to gauge perspective and insight into the day-to-day workings of a Crown Court. They started with a talk and Q&A session by the Clerk of the Court who relayed the inner workings of a trial and the structure within it. The rest of the morning provided an opportunity to drop in and watch a range of ongoing cases. Students returned to school with a newfound understanding of the criminal justice system within England and Wales!

This week, 40 Latin pupils stepped into the world of ancient Egypt at the ‘Ramses and the Pharaohs' Gold’ exhibition at NEON, Battersea Power Station. Coming face to face with 180 priceless treasures - gold masks, silver coffins, amulets and towering sculptures, all over 3,000 years old - was an unforgettable way to bring their Classics studies to life. Ramses the Great ruled Egypt for nearly 67 years and sought immortality for millennia, pupils would probably agree he succeeded!

A group of Sixth Form Economics and Business students enjoyed an inspiring trip to Frankfurt during the Easter break.
From exploring the city’s rich culture to visiting Schwetzingen Palace, Heidelberg and Römerberg, the trip blended cultural discovery with real-world learning.
A standout highlight was the visit to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, where students experienced the trading floor in action and gained insight into ETFs during an expert-led seminar. A lecture at the Bundesbank brought monetary policy to life, exploring the realities of a shared currency across the Eurozone.
With a guided city tour and a seminar on business competition at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, helped students deepen their understanding of key economic concepts beyond the classroom.

#ThrowbackThursday to the Third Form trip to the battlefields of Normandy last week. The pupils encountered everything from Omaha beach to the adventurous tails of the 9th parachute battalion at the Merville Gun battery.
Led by two fanatical tour guides the group travelled across Normandy from Carentan to Caen and entered the shoes of the men that fought there 82 years ago.
They learnt a lot from the La Cambe German cemetery and the eye-opening American cemetery at St Laurent finding it breathtaking to witness first hand the scale of the war in Normandy.
During the closing stages of the trip pupils visited the British memorial of Ver Sur Mer and took part in a service to commemorate all fallen soldiers that died during the Normandy campaign - truly humbling.
